SPRING, SUMMER & FALL 2018
Regional festivals are 3-day gatherings of puppeteers, offering performances, workshops, shared creativity and friendship-the perfect opportunity to meet puppeteers in your area of the country. Regional festivals are similar to national festivals but with less of a commitment of time and finances.
Regionals are held during even numbered years and they are organized within the eight regions of the organization and produced by the Puppeteers of America.
The “Pacific Southwest Puppet Fest 2018” will be held March 1-4, in Santa Barbara, California! It will run concurrently with the Santa Barbara International PuppetPalooza festival, with exciting events spanning all 4 days!
We’re delighted to welcome the members of the Puppeteers of America to a PSW Region Reception on Thursday afternoon. We’ll also be hosting workshops on Friday and Saturday, and the LA Guild of Puppetry will hold a puppet slam. The Santa Barbara International PuppetPalooza will present a variety of puppet shows, and other events, beginning Thursday evening, and culminating in a puppet parade on Sunday afternoon.
The PSW Region is looking forward to experiencing the beauty of Santa Barbara with our fellow puppeteers, with accommodations near the beach, and close to the rich history of colorful downtown.
